Luxe Fitness, Bristol
Luxe Fitness, Bristol
In the centre of Bristol, Luxe Fitness unveiled a brand-new, opulent gym
Located inside the previously outdated basement floor of Beacon Tower, this iconic building has stunning views of the Bristol skyline.
Renowned for its distinctive surroundings and unique gym experience, the Luxe Fitness Bedminster site was voted ‘The UK’s Best New Gym’ at the 2022 RICS Social Impact Awards.
Transforming what once was an old library, the redesigned building offers a unique gym experience. With the Luxe branding shining throughout, including a recognisable interior and incredible features like a mezzanine floor, a feature stair chandelier, and dynamic lighting, this gym certainly has the wow factor!
Operating a 24-hour service, top-notch equipment, and hundreds of varied sessions each week to keep customers in shape, Luxe aimed to reinvent the gym experience.
Along with separate spin and class studios, cardio and strength facilities, a juice bar, and a HITT zone, Luxe even has its own resident DJ who pumps out motivating music to help make workouts a little more exciting!

The Design Process
Design Storey Architects took charge of the whole design process and chose all of the interior features, including our metal solutions.
We were approached by Design Storey Architects and asked to supply a suitable material to create an eye-catching ceiling feature. Our Kriskadecor metal chains were the perfect solution for this. We supplied our chains with a standard spacing of 78 chains per linear metre which were then fixed to a mini oval curved track that was powder coated in black.

Adding the Metal Chains
The metal chains were fixed to the track, but at a gradual height degradation to create a staggered chandelier. The chains were anodised in three colours, with the top layer being satin black, the middle layer being satin grey, and the bottom layer being satin silver.
The degradation of the chains and triple colour combination made for a stunning and glistening centre piece.
Awards
This project was shortlisted at the BIID Interior Design Awards 2024 in the South West and Wales Category.
