Sustainability FAQ’s
We have answered our most frequently asked questions below, but if you have any other questions, please get in touch!
We are committed to continuous improvement. Our key future goal is to achieve carbon zero by 2030. Additionally, we are investing in new technologies and processes to further reduce energy consumption, increase recycled content in our products, and fully support a circular economy across our supply chain.
Sustainability is central to our product development. We continuously refine our manufacturing processes to enhance material efficiency, reduce waste, and incorporate recycled content. This focus drives innovation and ensures that every product meets rigorous technical and environmental standards.
Our metal products are inherently recyclable. They can be re-melted and reformed without loss of quality, supporting a true circular economy. We recommend sending end-of-life products to accredited metal recycling facilities, where they can be efficiently reclaimed and reused in new applications.
Our products are designed with sustainability at every stage. From sourcing high-quality, globally sourced metals to employing zero-waste production techniques and energy-efficient processes, every product is built to minimise environmental impact. We also monitor and record the amount of carbon for each project, so we can apply offsetting programs.
Both our welded mesh and woven wire mesh are produced using precision, automated processes that minimise scrap generation. Any residual material is reclaimed and re-melted, supporting efficient material use and a sustainable, circular production model.
Yes. We utilise processes such as powder coating, which is solvent-free and energy-efficient with low VOC emissions. Any overspray is recovered and recycled, ensuring minimal waste throughout the finishing process.
Our products are designed for long-term performance. Their durability means less frequent replacement, which lowers overall resource consumption and waste while contributing to a reduced carbon footprint.
We work with Blue Marble to monitor the carbon impact of each project. Our goal is to achieve carbon zero by 2030, and we actively offset emissions as part of our overall sustainability strategy.
Yes. For instance, our Kriskadecor metal curtains are made using aluminium wire that is certified to contain a minimum of 20% recycled aluminium. Additionally, our production processes across the entire product range are designed to maximise the use of recycled content and reclaimed material.
We design all our metal products with a circular economy in mind. Metals such as aluminium, steel, and stainless steel can be re-melted and reformed without quality loss. We also reclaim and recycle any offcuts or residual material generated during production.
Our products are built to high technical and environmental standards. The certifications we hold, along with our EPDs and self-certified SKA and BREEAM statements, help architects, designers, and contractors earn green building credits.
Our processes are designed to maximise material utilisation. Our expanded mesh production converts one metre of raw material into up to three metres of finished product with zero offcuts. For perforated products and welded mesh, all residual material is reclaimed and recycled.
We work with high-quality metals including mild steel, aluminium, stainless steel, brass, bronze, and copper. These metals are sourced globally and are inherently recyclable.
