Stratton House

Resonate, a renowned architectural and design firm, was appointed to spearhead the transformation of a Grade II listed building situated in the heart of Green Park, Stratton House.

The building, a multi-tenanted commercial space, had fallen into a tired and run-down state, necessitating a comprehensive revival to elevate the overall tenant experience.

The Resonate team embraced the challenge of blending historic charm with modern functionality, envisioning a design that seamlessly merges the building’s original elements with contemporary features. The scope of the project included transforming CAT A floors, creating a new reception area, upgrading common parts, and conducting basement work to introduce essential amenities like shower rooms and cycle storage.

Resonate’s design philosophy centred around preserving the heritage of the Grade II listed building while infusing it with a fresh and dynamic aesthetic. The goal was to strike a balance between tradition and innovation, ensuring that the revitalized space not only pays homage to its historical significance but also caters to the evolving needs of its occupants.

A standout feature of the transformation was the incorporation of the metal mesh panels in the reception area. The AP300 room divider was chosen, incorporating Banker Wire’s LHZ-1 in stainless steel and brass. This choice was made to enhance the visual appeal of the reception area while maintaining a connection to the building’s historic roots. The LHZ-1 weave in stainless steel and brass not only added a touch of luxury but also provided a durable and visually striking solution for the reception panels.

The decision to opt for Banker Wire’s LHZ-1 mesh was driven by its versatility, combining strength with an elegant aesthetic. The interplay between stainless steel and brass elements created a distinctive look, reflecting Resonate’s commitment to crafting spaces that are both functional and visually engaging.

The revitalized commercial building now offers the tenant an experience that has been significantly enhanced, with the carefully curated blend of historic and modern elements creating a unique and inviting atmosphere.
