The award-winning and ever popular Rasa Restaurant opens its doors to another authentic South Indian street food restaurant in London.
The restaurant, which first opened its doors in 1994, has grown considerably and is now one of the most popular South Indian restaurants in the city. With several awards under their belts, including the AA Guide Rosette Award and the “Winner, Evening Standard Eros Award,” Rasa has grown from strength to strength in the capital.
Rasa originally started out as a purely vegetarian restaurant but has since expanded its offering to include fish and meat. Along with extending their menu, they’ve also expanded into other locations across London too!
AC500 ceiling system with Zircon 55 Expanded Mesh in Olive Green
Restaurant owner Das Sreedharan had a vision of igniting customers’ tastebuds while injecting traditional South Indian cuisine into the heart of London. With that in mind, his food is full of authenticity and pays homage to his Keralan roots.
We were approached by Ravi and Hiral at Kotak Designs, who asked us to help a ceiling system with open mesh panels that had space for plants to be hung. Our AC500 was the most suitable ceiling system, and we used our Zircon RB55 expanded mesh tiles to achieve the desired outcome. Our system was supplied powder coated in RAL 6003 Olive Green to give the plants a dark background to stand out against. The design of the building focuses on creating a stunning open space full of colour and foliage.
