Northeastern University’s Vine Street campus embarked on a transformative journey to reimagine its workspace environments within the stairs and lobby areas.

The objective was to create a campus that offered multi-flexible learning spaces, setting it apart within its portfolio. The selected location, Devon House in St. Katharine Docks, presented challenges, but the team persevered to space plan the building and navigate the complex planning application process for a Change of Use to educational.

The heart of the design concept from Workplace Creations revolved around creating a fluid and engaging workspace that seamlessly blended functionality, aesthetics, and Northeastern University’s unique identity.

To achieve this vision, Kriskadecor’s customisable chain solution was chosen for its flexibility, providing a canvas for intricate patterns, vibrant colours, and the incorporation of branding elements. This choice was pivotal in shaping a space that would be both visually stunning and highly adaptable to the dynamic needs of students and staff.

The implementation of Kriskadecor’s chain solution in the stairs and lobby areas at Northeastern University’s Vine Street campus has led to a transformed and vibrant workspace environment. The customisable nature of the chains allowed for the creation of visually striking patterns that not only enhanced the aesthetics but also reflected the identity of Northeastern University. The infusion of the University’s brand elements into the design further personalised the space, creating a strong sense of belonging for the students and staff.
