IIona Rose House
Ilona Rose House is a 300,000 sq. ft mixed-use scheme developed by Soho Estates and offers 150,000 sq. ft of office space, 14,000 sq. ft of retail fronting Charing Cross Road, and a brand-new public courtyard with 15,000 sq. ft of restaurant and bar space.
The upper floors of offices exploit the stepped massing of the building to create over 12,000 sq. ft of planted external terraces for the benefit of the occupiers.
The aim was to create a series of spaces throughout the building to ensure visitors felt welcome while also understanding the quality, vibrance, and brand that the tenants offer. The reception is the most important space, as it acts as the staging area for the building. It features concrete walls and neutral tones, combined with greenery, soft furnishings, and bold, scenic artwork. This then leads onto a bright blue, colourful corridor, which leads you to the upper floors.
Collaborating with design companies, MATT Architecture and Paola Leon Design who created a modern design and brought this large-scale complex to life.
We were approached by the designers, who asked us to provide a suitable solution for the walls in the reception area. In collaboration with Ultimet Alloys, our Milan WM5050 decorative welded mesh, known for its aesthetic appeal with practical versatility, was fabricated and installed in a raw stainless steel to create the desired aesthetic. This in turn aligned perfectly with the vision for IIona Rose House.
The successful collaboration in implementing our decorative welded mesh showcased how innovative our metal solutions can transform a space while ensuring functionality and safety.
