Hedinn Kitchen & Bar, Iceland
Located within a historic building that was once a steelworks factory, Hedinn Kitchen & Bar pays homage to the building’s heritage with its name and design elements.
This stunning new restaurant situated in Reykjavik has been redesigned and converted into a hotel, restaurant, café, and bar and is said to be one of the largest in the area.

As a sister restaurant to leading CentreHotels group, Hedinn Kitchen & Bar aims to be the most vibrant and memorable restaurant whilst providing a sense of warmth, energy, and atmosphere to those who visit.
Upon walking into the restaurant, you’re transported into a montage of big city life that replicates the industrial past of London, Paris & New York.

The dramatic high ceilings and swanky design features create an outstanding and eye catching look. A volcanic map of Iceland is cut-out across the flooring and printed on the feature wall. The dusky teal and blue-grey mural completes the overall design aesthetic.

Featuring a mezzanine layout, the entrance to the local café is via the street entrance which transforms into a casual wine bar in the evening. The lower floor opens up on the kitchen and bar dining area. The mezzanine design incorporates private function rooms that act as flexi-meeting areas, private dining, and venues for hire.
Working alongside architects Glama Kim, and I-AM design studio our Kriskadecor metal chain curtains were specified for a stunning ceiling feature that floats above the bar.
