Edith Neville School, London
Camden’s Central Somers Town undergoes huge £89m regeneration masterplan.
The re-build of Edith Neville Primary School forms part of the first phase of the development, with the plan set to modernise the primary school and deliver better facilities. With a new community hub, a replacement nursery, and a community garden also part of the plans, the new development will bring a new lease of life to the area.

Situated between Kings Cross and Euston station, Edith Neville School is just a short walk from some of London’s most popular attractions. The idea behind the regeneration is to boost the local area and make it a more desirable place to live and visit.
The regeneration will include a refurbished school, new public open areas, community facilities, and 130 new homes. The refurbishment of the school, which was first built in 1970, will now include a primary school, nursery, family centre, and parent drop-in. The new site is convenient for parents and families with multiple children of different ages, and the state-of-the-art facilities paves the way for a positive future for students and the local community.

We worked alongside Neilcott on this project, who were in charge of the design and construction of the new school, which would replace the current outdated one. We were asked to specify a material that would be suitable for the external façade. Our 45/60 perforated WellTEC was ideal for this, as these profiles are strong and durable. We supplied it in aluminium grade 5754 H24 before it was powder coated in RAL 9010, to give the profiles a crisp white glossy finish.
