ANZ Bank

A variety of solutions were needed for the perimeter focus and meeting rooms for Australia and New Zealand Banking Group Ltd (ANZ) in their new Canary Wharf offices.

They needed a workspace strategy in response to the changing dynamics post-pandemic to bring people back together. The ambition was to mark the bank’s focus on the well-being of its people and customers by creating a sense of community, encouraging collaboration, and energising the team.

The core ethos of the new ANZ headquarters was to cultivate a space that reflected the bank’s culture, personality, and values while strengthening its global and regional identity.

TP Bennett led the design of the new headquarters which focused on facilitating a sense of community and promoting collaboration among employees. The layout emphasized an open-plan environment that encouraged seamless navigation throughout the office, symbolising ANZ’s commitment to inclusivity and approachability

Working closely with fit-out specialists, Overbury and Level Best Solutions, they were keen to help ANZ reduce waste, so a bespoke ceiling raft system was needed. Amron’s AC500 raft was ideal due to the ability to make the individual bespoke sizes and shapes needed.

The standout feature of the AC500’s design was the use of our Zircon RB25 expanded mesh in aluminium. The panels, measuring 1200 x 1200mm, were meticulously welded into frames and powder coated in RAL 2012, with special attention given to crafting the individual curved corner panels. Each corner panel was distinct, undergoing precision laser cutting to achieve unique shapes and design elements.

The AC500 rafts not only contributed to the office’s visual aesthetics but also conveyed the design’s commitment to innovation and attention to detail. The fit-out for ANZ had sustainability at its heart and was a project Amron Architectural were very proud to be a part of.
