Amano Group Hotel, London
Located in the heart of Covent Garden, Berlin based hotel group Amano, opens its first UK hotel in the city.
The hotel is in close proximity to some of London’s biggest amenities, with the likes of the Royal Opera House and West End theatres on its doorstep. Visitors to the hotel will also find luxury boutiques, pubs, and restaurants on every corner.
Similar to the pre-existing hotels that are located throughout Berlin and Europe, the Amano brand stands for high-end quality design, a feel-good atmosphere, and distinctive food and beverage concepts, which makes it the perfect fit for Covent Garden.
The hotel features a modern and slick appearance, with earthy tones and dark accents featured throughout the premises. Gold elements are also incorporated to give the hotel the instantly recognisable “Amano” look. With 114 rooms located across 6 floors, the hotel also features Penelope’s restaurant and a rooftop bar that has a DJ booth and stunning views of London’s skyline.
Penelope’s restaurant is led by top Israeli chef and culinary genius Ronen Dovart Bloch. The restaurant’s menu offers a fusion of Israeli-Spanish food and features favourites like tapas and Israeli-style paella with whole lobster and chicken. This beautiful boutique restaurant brings a unique and rich dining experience to the capital.
We worked with Manex Properties, the owners and developers of the Amano Covent Garden Hotel. We were approached by them and asked to supply a suitable metal to create a bespoke ceiling feature in the restaurant. Our Kriskadecor metal chains were the most suitable metal for this project. Our chains were made from aluminium and given a gold satin and brown satin finish before being curved to create a textured and waved look. The ceiling consists of 190 linear metres of our curved fixing rail where a total of 76 square meters of our Kriskadecor chains were hung to create this ceiling feature.
